Securing Our Foundation,
Brick by Brick!
Throughout August and September, our church council is inviting you to consider giving to a special fundraising campaign. The Brick by Brick debt reduction campaign is a way for those who love Mt. Zion to leave a lasting legacy. This legacy will live on both through your financial support and in an engraved brick that will be placed in the walkway entering the church for years to come. Below you can learn more about the campaign and how to be a part of this special opportunity.

The History
-
Before 2009, our church was two buildings and difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility issues.
-
The church decided to step out in faith to alleviate this issue by taking on a building project. This required a mortgage.

Original Mortgage: $3.58 MillionCurrent Mortgage Balance: $797,523
We have paid off $2,782,477 so far!
The Need
-
Since the COVID pandemic, our church has been running with an annual budget deficit.
-
While our leadership has been wise and conservative in managing our funds, we continue to deplete our reserve funds.
-
The mortgage accounts for 8% of our annual budget. This is equal to $13,681/month or $172,181/year
Reducing our debt will make a big difference in our cash flow.
