• Rev. Harden Paul Hopper

    Senior Pastor

    Rev. Hopper was born in Atlanta, grew up in Cobb County, and is a graduate of Campbell High School.  He attended North Georgia College and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.  He served for 22 years in the Regular Army, Georgia National Guard, and Army Reserve, before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.  Rev. Hopper also worked a simultaneous career in the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, last serving as a Region Program Manager for the counties of Northeast Georgia.  He retired from both careers to enter full-time vocational ministry, serving as pastor for Cartecay UMC in Ellijay and Bascomb UMC in Woodstock, before being appointed to Mt. Zion UMC.   

    He and his wife Karen have two adult daughters.
