This year Mt. Zion is again partnering with Mt. Bethel UMC and NW Metro Habitat for Humanity to build a home for another deserving family: Stacey Morrow and her 11-year-old son Jayden in Mableton, GA (1071 Old Bankhead Highway, Mableton, GA 30126.)

The mostly Saturday construction schedule extends through November with dedication planned for Saturday, December 1, 2018. Mt. Zion has been asked to focus its efforts on

Mt. Zion Build Day will be the second Saturday of the planned construction.

This will be Saturday, October 13. The primary objective on our build day will be to complete the interior framing of the house, to have it ready for electrical, plumbing, HVAC and sheet rock work, to be completed by subcontractors. There will be plenty of work for everyone. In addition to completing the framing, as time permits, we may work on Installation of exterior doors and windows, construction of supports for the furnace/AC units, and starting the exterior siding. Mt. Zion will also be responsible for providing lunch for the volunteers, homeowners and Habitat staff.
