Worship returns to the sanctuary at Mt. Zion:
  • One service only
  • Overflow simulcast to the gym
  • Online Livestream
  • Masks & distancing appreciated

As of May 30, the following has been adopted by Church Council

 * Masks: No longer required but appreciated.  Per CDC guidelines, all vaccinated persons are invited to worship with us with masks optional. We continue to suggest that unvaccinated persons wear masks, including all children under age 12. We do ask that you continue to monitor your own health and take advantage of our live stream option when you are not feeling well.

    * Social Distancing: No longer required but appreciated. Per CDC guidelines, all vaccinated persons no longer need to social distance.  We believe the congregation should act in a responsible manner.

    * Sunday Morning Service: we will maintain our current schedule with one 11 a.m. worship service for the near future, as revitalizing a gathered community at Mt. Zion is understood as a priority.  The worship team will monitor the size of the worshipping congregation against worship space and other needs to decide when to return to multiple services.

    * Sanctuary Capacity Limitations: restriction of 100 persons lifted.

    * Gym: continues to remain open as an option for members to enjoy the worship service in a more open environment.

    * Reservations/Registration: no longer required.

    * Sunday School: Sunday School classes are free to go back to their respective classrooms indoors or gather as they see fit and should adhere to the CDC guidelines.

    * Scout Lodge (boy scouts/girl scouts): will now be open and scout leaders are to use their best judgement by following CDC Guidelines as it relates to masks and social distancing.

    * Prayer ministries: return to the prayer chapel as before

Please respond with “Approved” if you are in favor or “Opposed” if you are not in favor.

** note this does not address every possible issue right now.  This is just the beginning and other items, such as other groups meeting on campus during the week will be decided upon at the next council meeting or possibly voted upon in the same manner before then should it be necessary to do so.
