Mt. Zion UMC Preschool opened its doors to the children of East Cobb in 1973. For the past 38 years the preschool has been recognized for its commitment to excellence in Early Childhood Education. It has earned national recognition as a N.A.E.Y.C. accredited program and is also recognized as a "School of Excellence" by the North Georgia UMC Conference.
Mt. Zion Preschool serves children between the ages of 1 and 5-years-old. Our hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
At Mt. Zion Preschool your child will find a relaxed and loving learning environment. We appreciate and understand that "play" is important in the healthy growth of all children. "Play" is how God intended children to learn. Our dynamic and diverse teaching staff know how to make the fun of learning come alive everyday in our classrooms. We provide each child with a balanced program designed to foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in our Specials classes, which take place during the regular school day and are included with tuition. These include Music, Movement, Spanish, Art, and Science. The number of Specials included depends on the age of your child.

Mt. Zion preschool is a weekday ministry of Mt. Zion UMC. Our children learn that God loves all children and that we are all part of God's family.Throughout the year, the children learn about the religious nature of Christmas & Easter and to give thanks through prayer at snack and mealtime. Our 3, 4 and 5-year-olds attend chapel twice each month for Bible stories and songs. We have children from many faith backgrounds and are respectful of all of our families' traditions. We encourage families to share these traditions with classmates.
