Mt. Zion Preschool

Mt. Zion Preschool opened its doors to the children of East Cobb in 1973. For the past 36 years the preschool has been recognized for its commitment to excellence in Early Childhood Education. It has earned national recognition as a N.A.E.Y.C. accredited program, as well as recognition by the North Georgia UMC Conference, as a "School of Excellence."

Mt. Zion Preschool serves children between the ages of 1 and 5-years-old. Our hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

At Mt. Zion Preschool your child will find a relaxed and loving learning environment. We appreciate and understand that "play" is important in the healthy growth of all children. "Play" is how God intended children to learn. Our dynamic and diverse teaching staff know how to make the fun of learning come alive everyday in our classrooms. We provide each child with a balanced program of art, music, science, language development, social and cognitive skills, gross and fine motor development, along with creative play.

Tuition Rates for 2010-2011 are:

3-Hour Classes Offered 9:30am – 12:30pm:

12-18 mo. olds = MW or TTh [2 teachers + 6 children]
18-24 mo. olds = TTh only [2 teachers + 10 children]
24-30 mo. olds = MWF or TTh [2 teachers + 10 children]
2 ½+ year olds = MWF or TTh [2 teachers + 10 children]
3 year olds = MWF or TTh [2 teachers + 14 children]
4 year olds = M – Th only [2 teachers + 14 children]

4-Hour Classes Offered 9:30am – 1:30pm:

3 year olds = MWF only [2 teachers + 14 children]
3 ½+ year olds = Tu – F only [2 teachers + 14 children]
4 year olds = M-F or Tu-F [2 teachers + 16 children]
Young 5’s = M-F only [2 teachers + 14 children]

Registration for 2010 -11 begins on Wed., Feb. 17th at 9am in the main lobby area of the church.

Registration Fees: For all 3 hr. classes: 2 days/wk. = $93

3 days/wk. = $118
4 days/wk. = $140

For all 4 hr. classes: 3 days/wk. = $130

4 days/wk. = $155
5 days/wk. = $165
Young 5’s = $168

The first day of school will be Wed. August 11, 2010 and the last day of school will be Wed. May 18, 2011

What religious lessons are taught?

Mt. Zion preschool is a weekday ministry of Mt. Zion UMC. Our children learn that Jesus loves all children, they learn about the religious nature of Christmas & Easter, they learn to give thanks through prayer and that we are all part of God's family. Our 3, 4 and 5-year-olds attend chapel twice each month for Bible stories and songs. We have children from many faith backgrounds and are respectful of all of our families traditions.
