There are families still without homes that were flooded in our area in September, 2009. Many of these families are struggling financially with house payments while also paying rent for an apartment. Also, Habitat for Humanity has determined that The United Methodist Coalition will not be able to build this spring as normally occurs. Therefore, Mt. Zion will endeavor to help rehabilitate and refurbish a home this spring under the direction of the North Georgia UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) disaster response group. Our Planned Work Dates are: Saturday, April 24, Monday-Friday, April 26-30, Saturday, May 1, Monday-Friday, May 3-7.
