Two of the goals we have set as a church for the next year is growth in Biblical literacy and intentional faith development. We are invited to grow in our knowledge of the Holy Scripture so that we will grow in our relationship with God. The Academy of Discipleship is our collective effort to use the Sabbath as a day to learn and grow in fellowship with each other and with God. Please prayerfully consider embarking on a journey toward greater faith.

Sunday Night Youth is a staple here at Mt. Zion UMC. On Sunday nights the youth gather for fun, fellowship, and learning. We meet in the gym at 5:00 p.m. for dinner and games followed by worship and lessons in the youth center. We learn about everything faith based from prayer to the fruits of the spirit. More then anything the youth group is a community. We welcome all who are in 6th to 12th grade to come and be a part of our crazy family. Parents are an important part of our program even if sometimes they play roles behind the sense. They host youth meetings in their houses and help provide dinner on Sunday nights. We always need help, even if you aren’t a parent. Let Deborah Williams know if you are interested in lending a hand.
Dinner will cost a dollar.
Reserve your spot in the class you would like to take today!
Academy will not meet:
September 5, October 31, November 21 and will end on December 12 and resume on January 9, 2011.
